Now, as a 29 year old who defeated obesity, PCOS and several different ailments without any medication, I believe we have had it wrong the entire time.

My husband is not an easy man to please when it comes to food. He is picky and particular, so when this recipe became a hit in my house I decided to make it a weekly meal!
If you like HOT spicy food, you can really have fun with this recipe! Play around with different spices to your liking, and cool it down with the sweet honey and garlic.

This slow cooker recipe will have your house smelling like savory goodness all day. You can cook for 4 hours on high, or 8 hours on low. A 10 minute prep time leaves your entire day open for other activities! Or in most cases; WORK!

2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 green onion, thinly sliced for garnish
Sesame seeds, for garnish
In a large bowl, combine garlic, honey, soy sauce, ketchup, vegetable oil and red pepper.
Place chicken thighs into a slow cooker. Add honey mixture and gently toss to combine. Cover and cook on low heat for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low.
Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred the chicken before returning to the pot with the juices. Cover and keep warm for an additional 30 minutes.
Serve immediately, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds!
